Freelance Designer

Freelance self-employed position working with small clients on a case by case basis, largely on personal and print based projects. In this role I work alone and communicate with clients personally in order to create design solutions appropriate for their needs and within an agreed time period.

Voluntary position working with hired staff of the language learning website ‘DuoLingo’ to plan and carry out engaging Dutch language events in the city. In this role I work with staff and other volunteers to plan educational public events to encourage and promote the learning of a foreign language in an engaging and personal way.

Freelance position for the Conceptual Arts Theatre Company as the photographer and designer for the debut of a new musical. In this role I liaised with the director of the production in order to create unique branding and photography that complemented the production. I also provided a professional link between the company and external printing and publishing services.

Voluntary position on the committee of the Gender and Sexuality Liberation Group. I ran university-wide campaigns to raise awareness and acceptance of marginalised sexualities and genders. I worked closely with the committee to provide a wide range of events and campaigns for students at the university. My role also included branding the group from the ground up, and creating an approachable social media platform for students to reach out to.

Freelance position as graphic designer for the local Musical Theatre Society’s amateur production of ‘Copacabana The Musical’. I worked closely with the director of the production in order to create a comprehensive programme showcasing the work of the society. I also liaised with an external photographer to ensure each cast member and rehearsal was documented in the final programme and poster campaign.
